Maelea with a card she made for her daddy.
I love to drop in at their house. There is no telling how they'll be dressed and what they'll be playing. I LOVE that Sam and Summer let them dress however they want when they are at home. Some days I go in and they are in long, dressy dresses and other times in their gowns with their high-heels on. They are having a FUN childhood . . . just like all kids should.

More pics from my little camera. It takes really good macro shots.

Sleeping Beauties
This afternoon, I watched a big storm roll in. It was really weird to watch how the layers of clouds just came in so quickly.
The wind was blowing in all different directions and I would not have been surprised to see a funnel cloud drop down at any second. I could hear the different air-fronts hitting each other above. It was neat and scary at the same time.

The case of my "little camera" that I keep in my purse. I love it and it is so small and easy to keep with me. It's a Canon Powershot Digital Elph SD600. They are way up in the 800 or 900s now with their model numbers - but I'm not updating until I have to! I like this one too much!

It had poured on the 4th and I made the comment that it was okay since we were having OUR big fireworks show on the 5th and at least it wouldn't ruin OUR show. Well, about 2 p.m. on the 5th. . . it started pouring again! You can see a little 'river' running along-side the driveway.
I LOVE to chop and cut up veggies. . . so I made the veggie tray. Lori made all kinds of other great dishes, too, and Tony grilled GREAT hamburgers and hot dogs.
It did clear off later that evening and we were able to have our BIG fireworks show. And we knew we were in NO danger of setting a fire since everything was soaked!
I realized I forgot to get a pic of the birthday girl. . . but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GMA POLLY !!!

I went to my cousin Lori's house today to help her get ready for a b-day party/get-together we are having for my grandma tomorrow. We made a run to Walmart to get a few last minute things. This was the sunset that we saw when we were going back to our car. Strangest sunset I've ever seen. The way the blue just made the straight lines down . . . made me think of those big lights that have at movie premieres. Looks like a big blue light shining up into the sky.
Madi's tongue turned purple from her Ring Pop.
Tony, Lori's husband, does a big fireworks show every 4th. He saved most of them for tomorrow night and Gma's bday celebration, but he did a few of them for us tonight!
We loved them!
He goes all out with the fireworks each year!
Madi making a scary face with the flashlight!

As I was driving to Cabot today, I'd drive through a dark place with HARD rain, then I'd drive right into the sunshine and I could tell it hadn't rained there at all. Then through the rain again and into the sun again. It was the strangest thing. Here I was driving in the sunny, dry parts, but you can see the raindrops still on my mirror from driving through that dark part.
My cousin, Katy and I stopped at Holland Bottom Farms in Cabot to get some veggies and fruit. They have the BEST produce. It tastes as good as it looks and it's all grown locally.

The berry farm is lined with these flowers. It had rained heavily there earlier but I got my feet a little muddy and walked along the row of flowers snapping a few shots. I took all of these pics with my little Canon that I keep in my purse and I was pleased with how they turned out.

I love the pic of this bud. It's so neat looking.

I think this little butterfly just wanted his pic made. He kept flying onto the flowers I was shooting.

A tomato that looks like a clover!
This sign makes me smile every time I drive by. The owner told me the story of it today after I told him how much I liked it. There are several signs along the way, "Berries", "watermelon", "tomatoes", etc. He said he intentionally spelled squash wrong to get people's attention. One evening he left work as normal and sometime in the night someone came and took the sign and painted the SA on the front of it and put it back before the sun came up. He just decided to leave it that way if someone took that much time/effort to fix it up! :)
This funky little Bug was at the fireworks stand next to the produce stand. Thought it was so cute and the dudes that got in it matched the car so well. You know, sometimes people just really match their vehicle. . . these guys did. I wish I'd have been able to get my camera out in time to get their pic, too.

I was just trying to get a nice headshot of Boomer. . .
but he kept trying to do these sexy poses for me. . .

I kept telling him I don't TAKE those kinds of pics. . .

But he just wouldn't cooperate!

Storm clouds around town. Took these about 4:00 pm when I stopped by the post office.

Last day at Heber. . . We all want to stay longer. What a life. . . no responsiblities, boating all day, sleeping whenever, no phones, eating out or cooking at campsite, riding bikes. . . OH, but it takes MONEY to live that way and for some reason we don't HAVE money when we don't go back to the real world and WORK for it! :) And besides, I guess we probably wouldn't appreciate the time spent at the lake as much if it was our normal way of life.
This was the sunset back at our house. Reminded me how much I love the land I live on and how nice it is to come HOME.
