I did not pick up my camera today at all. I was taking the day off!
Here's a pic I took back in November that I really like.

Green rose from Sweet Peas.
Not sure what happened on this pic. . . but I liked the way it looked.
The flash didn't go off. . . but the camera just gave me this pic WAY over-exposed.
Sometimes the 'bad' shots are really good!
THIS was more what I was trying to get!
These pics were taken with my little camera that I keep in my purse. I thought they turned out pretty good!

I went to Maelea's school program today. The kids did so good and I was so proud of Maelea just hopping up in Santa's lap for a pic!!

Apprently I left the pic off of this entry. Don't know if I had one for it and lost it. . . or if I just skipped it altogther! Any way it happened, I didn't have a pic so I went and found one that I loved from an earlier session this month.

One of my favorite subjects!

Another foggy, dreary day.
Looking up through the sunroof of the car.

I love that my nieces live right behind me now! I keep snacks at my house for them to have when they visit. Today, I took the snack to them and they had a little picnic!

Gerald and I did our Christmas shopping today and we ate at Shorty Small's.
I LOVE their cheese sticks!
For desert, Gerald ordered the fried Twinkies. . .
They were pretty - but I just couldn't make myself try them. FRIED Twinkies does not sound appetizing to me! I fear biting in to one and tasting grease!
He said they were GREAT!

The only funny part of the "apple incident" was that the preacher's toe was actually BROKEN in the whole accident!! All because I was trying to be helpful. But he did get a nice new brown shoe to wear. . . for 4-6 weeks!
OUCH!
I won't post the pic they sent me the next day. . .
his whole foot was purple!!
I promised the preacher I'd never try to help him out again.

He promised he'd never ask for my "expert opinion" again!! :)

December 4, 2007

Today the preacher asked for my "expert opinion" on something and, to make a long story short, he had a big piece of plywood stuck against a wall and I thought I'd help out and help him move it. Well, when I pulled on the end of it, the plywood came down from the wall, landed on his foot and then fell over. In the process, the apple I was holding in one hand, fell under that plywood as it was falling (with the preacher on top of it) and it was totally crushed under the plywood and the preacher. I really do wish we had that moment on video - because it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. . .
