Surprise Lillies in the front yard.
When I bent down to get a closer shot, I saw this thing. I don't know how I have the ability to find the only bug on all the flowers without even trying!! And yes, I did look at all the other flowers to see if there were more bugs... and this was the only one!!
Yes, I know I post this shot often. But this is what I saw when I was walking back around to go in the house and I LOVE the dark sky and green grass. This is one of my favorite scenes and when I see this view, it makes me so glad I live where I do. I love the land I live on.

This afternoon Jackson and I were driving around the farm and I saw this THING on one of the little pine trees, so I stopped to get a picture. I was asking Jackson if these things could fly and he said "Yes, they fly and they can also turn their head all the way around because they have no spine." I looked over at him and asked if he was serious and he assured me he was.
When I turned back around, the THING was looking right at me. It kind of freaked me out a little bit. . . okay, A LOT! I was wondering if it was thinking about flying over towards me. . .
But I think he was just asking,
"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!"

Today is my bday and my friend sent me this arrangement. I just HAD to post it because it is SO cute!! This is from Sweet Peas and Amber always has the cutest stuff! On one side of our driveway it looks like summer. Green grass and 'normal' yard for this time of year. On the other side there is a BlackJack Oak and it has started to drop it's leaves. It looks like the middle of fall on that side of the yard. It's really kind of weird. No leaves on the ground on one side. . . and on the other, the ground is covered with brown leaves and lots of little green acorns.
