Meet Lucky Bear. Today, my nieces, Maelea and Maggie, stopped by and brought me this teddy bear. He is one of the bears that smells. Lucky's smell is pear. He is so soft and cuddly!! I just love him! I had to take him into the studio for his first portrait session. He did really well. I didn't have any trouble getting him to smile. . . and believe it or not, he didn't close his eyes in any of the pics!! :)

In 2002, right after Gerald got his truck, he and Jackson were going somewhere and Jackson had gotten this little piece of leather off of his Daisy BB gun. He tied it on the grip on the dashboard and told Gerald that now he had a 'cowboy truck.' It's been there ever since. It's one of those little things that make life sweet. It always makes me smile when I look at it when I'm in the truck - and I know Gerald likes it.

I've been behind the computer working on pics most of the day, so when Gerald got home this afternoon I asked him to take me riding down some roads we normally don't go down. One of the coolest things I saw was this wheel up in the tree. Look closely in the first pic and you can see just how high it is. Gerald said the tree must have grown up through the wheel and raised it up that high.

I walked through the house and spotted Zeus all stretched out on a pillow in his bed. He had his feet stuck out near the heater - but of couse, once I got my camera out he moved some. This is almost what he looked like when I first saw him.

I may win an award for the creativity of this post. NOT!!
Below is the time I realized I hadn't done my pic for the day. I was tired and I've been sick again this past week - so I took the easy way out on today's pictures. I cooked a frozen pepperoni pizza tonight and I always take a paper towel and dab off the extra grease. . . and there always seems to be plenty of it! It's really pretty nasty!

Every year we get together with David, Karen and Jillian for a SuperBowl party. This year we had it at their house. Karen always does things to the max! Each year she makes a SuperBowl cake for Jackson. He looks forward to this all year long.
Karen also made some cheese-stuffed jalepeno peppers. They were wrapped in sausage and battered before being deep fried. Everyone said they were great. I'm a wimp - I can't handle 'hot stuff' so I had to pass on the peppers.
I'm NOT too wimpy to eat homemade apple pie. . . one of my favorite deserts! Karen is an awesome cook and this pie was one of the best I've ever had.

I spent today at the wedding of Lindsey Fowler and Hutch Weast. "FUN" was the word everyone used to describe this wedding, and that was definitely an accurate description. Everyone that attended had a great time. This pic shows the joy of the day!
Lindsey had one of the coolest wedding cakes I have ever seen. Here's a little 'teaser' shot. You'll have to check out my regular blog in a few days to see the entire cake.
Chandler Weast, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. She looked so beautiful. She was flashing that gorgeous smile all day! John Taylor Towers, was the ring bearer and he looked very handsome in his tux. These two young people did a great job at the wedding.

Gerald took the kids to school today so I got to walk around outside and take pics of the snow. When I walked outside the beauty of the sky and the bright moon against the snow covered trees and ground literally almost took my breath away. It was one of the prettiest sights I have ever seen. It's one of those scenes that there is no way to capture the true beauty of it - but I do like this picture.
