No pic for today. I TOTALLY forgot about getting a picture. I went to church and then came straight home and began to work on the slideshow of our trip for the evening service. I didn't leave the computer until I was done with the DVD - and never thought to take a pic after I got home from church. I'll try to go back and find a pic to post on this day!

It stormed the night before we left and it was still rainy and nasty as we were getting ready to leave the country. This is a view from the plane window as we sat on the runway.

It didn't take long for the raindrops to blow off the window.
We flew up through the storm clouds and into the beautiful blue sky.

The front of the church after we were done. The blocks had to set overnight before they could finish the builing and put in the door and windows. We did get the side (back) door in and all of the windows on the side of the church. The church members finished up the top blocks and put the door/windows in on Saturday. The people named their church Star City Assembly of God of Hicaque. We were honored that they took our church name as theirs.

After the dedication service, the children line up and we get to give them all candy and treats. This is one of the best parts of the trip!! The kids are so excited.

This is a great place to stay if you go to Tela, Honduras.

Daniela gave me a cloth that she had embroidered. It is beautiful and she made my day when she brought it to me. It is something I will treasure forever. Honduras is a beautiful country.

On some of our travels we had to wait on the cattle. They only moved out of the way when they felt like it!!

Each year I love to take pics and show them to the people. Many of them have never seen themselves on a camera before. . . gotta love digital.
I never did learn this boy's name - but I loved this picture. It almost looks like he is standing in front of a fake background.

Sherwood, the owner of Hotel Sherwood, invited us to his farm. It was beautiful. We caught our own fish with a net and his people cooked them for us.
I'm not entirely comfortable eating food with the head still on it. . . but this fish was great!

OUT OF THE COUNTRY

Just a note to let you all know that I am going to be gone to Honduras for a few days. I am going on a missions trip with my church. I'll be back to work on Jan 29. I hope to have lots of great pics to post. I'll definitely do my pic-a-day while I'm gone! Please keep our group of 13 in your thoughts and prayers this next week!

I got busy today and at the end of the day realized I hadn't done a picture. Here a couple that I didn't process until today.

A lot of the times I have appointments I make Jackson let me get a couple of shots of him. He's not crazy about doing it - but he's learned to just do it and not fuss about it!

My niece, Samantha, comes to my house every morning and I take her to school after I drop my son off at school. This morning she was sick, so she ended up staying home from school and I took her to the doctor.
